World Travel 101 Workshops

These are held from time-to-time on a Saturday morning at an area library. They are free, but please register at hudsonmohawk@gmail.com when they are announced so we can bring enough materials along.

Agenda: Election of board members General meeting information

If you are unable to attend, please send a "proxy ballot" for the purposes of meeting quorom. The ballot should simply state: "I hereby give my proxy vote for the annual meeting of the Hudson-Mohawk Council of HI-USA to any officer," then legibly sign your name and date it.

Council Meetings

The HI Hudson-Mohawk Council board of directors meets several times annually. Once annually, a larger meeting is held that is open to all council members and election of officers takes place. Date, time and place of the annual meeting are announced when available. All members of HI are eligible to attend. Please either attend the annual meeting each year, or mail in your proxy form for voting purposes so that we meet quorom. Anyone interested in serving on the board (four to six one-hour meetings per year), should e-mail: joegalu@hotmail.com or give him a call at 463-8429.

Freihofer's Community Walk

Held the last Saturday in May each year at 8:00 a.m. Walkers solicit pledges that go to their non-profit group. Albany International Fest Empire State Plaza 10 am to 5 pm Details to be announced when available

Tulip Fest

Mother's Day Weekend Each Year 10 am to 6 pm Washington Park, between Madison & Washington HI-USA has an information booth there. Albany, NY

Annual Picnic

Each summer a picnic is held at an area park or at the home of a council member. All picnics are "pot luck", with attendees bringing a dish to share.

Trips

From time to time, members of our council take group trips to hostels, in conjunction with a cultural or social activity. We either car pool, or take the train/bus; people share expenses for gas and tolls, and parking if necessary. For info contact Brian Logan at: 518-463-6763, or e-mail him at: brianlogan3@yahoo.com
